American Red Cross Learn-To-Swim lessons are offered at Freedom Physical Therapy, in Newport, VT.
Freedom PT has a 92-degree therapy pool with two large restrooms/changing areas and a parking lot for all guests.
We ask that all families come dressed ready to swim.
Swimmers and their families should wait in the waiting room until class time. At the time of your class, our instructor will bring you to the pool area.
If your child is over five, you are welcome to wait in the waiting room during lessons or grab a seat in the pool area.
Remember to bring warm clothes for changing into after your lesson.

We offer three different class models at Freedom Physical Therapy. Each session consists of six swim lessons. Check out our packages and 2023-2024 rates below:
Semi-Private - Semi-private swim lessons consist of 3-4 swimmers in a class. Semi-Private lessons are perfect for swimmers who want to meet new friends and families while learning to swim!
Swimmers participate in a 30-minute lesson each week where they will be challenged to try new skills at their level. Lessons will be differentiated to support each swimmer. Price per swimmer: $257/Session

Family Private - Our Family Private program is for families with 2-3 swimmers that would like to participate in the same class at the same time. Our Family Private program is the perfect class for parents that would like their swimmers to participate in the same class together.
Swimmers will participate in a 30-minute lesson each week for eight weeks. Price per swimmer: $287/Session

Private Lessons - Private swim lessons are one-to-one instruction. Private lessons are perfect for swimmers who have a fear of water or would benefit from individualized instruction.
Swimmers participate in either eight 20-minute lessons or eight 30-minute lessons per session depending on the swimmer's abilities. Custom private sessions are available upon request. 20-minute Package: $347/Session

My son has been in swimming lessons since he was 6 months old, now 2, he has completed many sessions and is becoming quite the little swimmer. The semi-private class has work great for us, being in a small group of 4 students, with shared one-on-one time for each student. All three of my daughters took lessons with Teach America To Swim. The two oldest are at a level and prepared to begin lifeguard training. My youngest had mastered many skills and has used these skills while enjoying the water. Her most noticed achievement was when she and her cousin tipped on a raft. She was able to free herself, swim to the surface, and then help her cousin do so as well. Putting my children through swim lessons with Teach America To Swim has given me peace of mind knowing that my girls know how to stay safe while enjoying family trips to the beach!
