Training for Individual & Businesses:
       Teach America to Swim offers CPR, AED, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogen training to individuals, businesses, towns, and schools. Training consists of an online component, including training videos and study materials, as well as an in-person training session where participants will be asked to demonstrate proficiency in the required skills.

First Aid/CPR/AED Trainings


We offer a variety of first aid courses to meet the various training needs of the diverse organizations we work with.

​The purpose of our American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED training is to teach participants how to recognize and appropriately respond to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies with Adults, Children, and Infants.

Our blended-learning training model consists of an at home e-Learning simulated training and a one-day in-person training.
Prerequisites for Training:
  • Pass and complete the eLearning

CPR/AED For Professional Rescuers

The purpose of this course is to teach those with a duty to act (professional rescuers) the knowledge and skills needed to prevent, recognize, and appropriately respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies. This course also includes automatic external defibrillator (AED) Training. First Aid training can be added to this training for an additional cost.

Our blended-learning training model consists of an at home eLearning simulated training and a one-day in-person training.
Prerequisites for Training:
  • Be at least 15 years old by the last day of the course
  • Pass and complete the eLearning

Wilderness FIrst AId

The primary purpose of the American Red Cross Wilderness and Remote First Aid course is to provide participants with a foundation of first aid skills to be able to prevent, recognize, and appropriately respond to emergencies in areas that do not have immediate emergency medical services (EMS) response, such as wilderness, remote environments, and in urban disasters.

Training consists of a two day in-person training.
Prerequisites for Training:
  • Be at least 14 years old by the last day of the course

Blood Borne Pathogen Training

The primary purpose of the American Red Cross Blood Borne Pathogen Training is to teach participants how to protect themselves and others from exposure to blood borne pathogens on the job and what to do if exposure occurs.

We offer both an in-person and online training.

Prerequisites for Training:
  1. ​Pass and complete the eLearning
